By downloading, accessing, or using Kalori AI (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@kaloriai.fit.
KALORI AI PROVIDES GENERAL NUTRITION, CALORIE-TRACKING, AND FITNESS INFORMATION FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL, NUTRITIONAL, OR DIETARY ADVICE. AI-GENERATED CALORIE AND NUTRIENT ESTIMATES MAY BE INACCURATE. CONSULT A QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROVIDER BEFORE MAKING SIGNIFICANT CHANGES TO YOUR DIET OR EXERCISE ROUTINE, PARTICULARLY IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION, ARE PREGNANT OR NURSING, OR HAVE A HISTORY OF DISORDERED EATING.
IN THE SPIRIT OF AVOIDING GHARAR (EXCESSIVE UNCERTAINTY), WE MUST BE FULLY TRANSPARENT: AI-BASED ANALYSIS CAN MISIDENTIFY INGREDIENTS, INCLUDING FAILING TO DETECT NON-HALAL COMPONENTS SUCH AS PORK BYPRODUCTS OR ALCOHOL-DERIVED INGREDIENTS. HALAL GUIDANCE PROVIDED THROUGH THE APP — OUTSIDE OF SPECIFICALLY LABELED CURATED/VERIFIED CONTENT — IS BEST-EFFORT AND NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR FORMAL HALAL CERTIFICATION. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING YOUR OWN DETERMINATIONS ABOUT FOODS THAT CARRY SPECIFIC RELIGIOUS SIGNIFICANCE TO YOU, AND SHOULD VERIFY DIRECTLY WITH THE MANUFACTURER OR A RECOGNIZED HALAL CERTIFICATION BODY WHEN CERTAINTY MATTERS.
A transaction or agreement in Islamic jurisprudence is only sound when both sides have real clarity about its terms, deliverables, and risks — stating plainly that the AI can miss a non-halal ingredient, rather than implying a certainty the technology can't back up, is what keeps this Gharar-free. It also reflects Nasiha — the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that religion itself is sincere advice and goodwill. In a business relationship, that means these Terms are written to genuinely protect your interests, not just to shield the company from liability.
Certain features require a paid subscription, billed and managed through Adapty and the applicable app store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in accordance with the app store's subscription terms. Refunds are handled per Apple App Store / Google Play policies, not directly by us.
You retain ownership of photos and content you submit. By submitting a photo for AI analysis, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the App's features, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that depicts anyone other than yourself without consent.
You agree not to: reverse-engineer the App; use it for unlawful purposes; attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems; or misuse the AI features to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content.
The App, including its design, mascot character, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by Kalori AI and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without permission.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account any time.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KALORI AI IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING ANY HEALTH, DIETARY, SPIRITUAL, OR RELIGIOUS CONSEQUENCE RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED NUTRITIONAL OR HALAL GUIDANCE, INCLUDING WHERE THE AI MISCLASSIFIES AN INGREDIENT OR FAILS TO IDENTIFY A NON-HALAL COMPONENT.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
